Best U.S. Business Class Airlines Flying to Europe

Let’s face it – we all much prefer the comforts and luxuries of business class cabins, especially for long haul flights. And this goes beyond the cabin experience – there are many other perks such as a much more relaxed check in experience including fast-track security, access to the VIP business lounge and gourmet meal service, just to name a few amenities available exclusively to business class passengers.

Let’s have a look at the U.S. based airlines with the best business class experiences for your next European trip. The list is, of course, subjective and our experiences with a specific airline may vary. If you are interested in taking a business class flight to Europe (or anywhere else in the world), here at CEOFlights we offer you insider deals at unbeatable prices with pretty much any airline, including the carriers listed below!

Delta Airlines Business Class

Delta is one of the best major U.S. based airlines offering excellent business class experience ranging from flat-bed seats to partnerships with celebrity chefs to take your gourmet meal experience a notch higher! Our customers also have mentioned the superb amenity kits introduced in 2022 from Mexican company Someone Somewhere that make the in-flight experience that much more luxurious. These kits include sustainable products such as Someone Somewhere eye mask, Humble Co. bamboo toothbrush and toothpaste, and Grown Alchemist lip balm and lotion. We have to admit, this sounds really good, even for a business class!

Our customers also enjoy the airport experience provided by Delta. SkyPriority service provides easy access to baggage drop off, fast-track security and immigration clearance (although in select airports only) as well as priority baggage delivery at your destination. Some or all of these services are available at 1,000+ airports within the broad SkyTeam network. However, it is always best to check which services are available at the airports you will be flying through to be prepared and avoid disappointment.

Our customers have offered praise also to American Airlines business class experience. The American Airlines Flagship Business cabin offers a great seating layout – on international flights all aircraft feature 1-2-1 seating so moving around the cabin is very easy and you never have to disturb anyone to reach the aisle. While many airlines are moving towards this configuration, American Airlines offers the most consistent business class cabin experience that frequent flyers very much appreciate.

American Airlines airport services also haven’t gone unnoticed – priority check-in and fast-track security lanes are available for Flagship Business customers. Once you are through the security, you can visit the Admirals Club lounge, but note that this is not available at all airports. In most European locations, you will likely use oneworld Alliance partner lounges, which also generally offer services to a very high standard. But if you are transiting through the major U.S. hub cities such as Chicago, Dallas, L.A., Miami or NYC, Flagship Lounges are something to truly look forward to – we hear that the food selection is out of this world, and so is the selection of beverages (including the adult kind!). Doesn’t it sound like a perfect start to a vacation?

United Airlines Business Class

No mention of United Airlines is complete without at least briefly touching upon its Polaris Business Class, which was launched, believe it or not, back in 2016. This aircraft configuration features aisle access without the need to climb over a (sleeping) fellow passenger, but please note that there are still aircraft in service that have not been upgraded to Polaris standard, although thankfully on the vast majority of flights you see this comfortable 1-2-1 seating map. The seat width is also comfortable 23 inches to give you more space and it can be adjusted into a lie-flat bed to provide you with a much deserved sleep, especially during overnight flights. Comfortable mattress pad and cozy bedding is also on offer in the Polaris business class seat.

Polaris lounges also deserve praise. To start off, the layout of these lounges is much more pleasant compared to the previous setup – you can use cubicles, enjoy restaurant style tables with benches and chairs, sit in comfy lounge chairs or just hang out at the bar. The premium drink selection at the bar is also notable ranging from spirits to fine wines and even champagne. Food is also great and includes hot and cold options, so you won’t go hungry! Polaris lounge also offers table service and you can order from a menu just like in a restaurant and the waiter will bring the food out while you wait for your flight!
